Slava Ilyayev

Return to previous page

Slava Ilyayev was an Israeli painter born in 1970 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He is known for his vibrant and colorful paintings that capture the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape and its people. Ilyayev’s family emigrated to Israel when he was a child, and he grew up in the city of Ashdod.

Ilyayev began painting at a young age and honed his skills at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv. He quickly gained recognition for his work and became known for his unique use of color and texture. Ilyayev’s artwork often depicts scenes from daily life, such as markets, cafes, and beaches, and his use of bold colors and loose brushstrokes gives his paintings a lively and energetic feel.

Ilyayev’s artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and his work is featured in many private and public collections, including the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. He was also commissioned to create artwork for many public spaces, including hospitals and government buildings.

Tragically, Ilyayev passed away in 2011 at the age of 41. Despite his short career, his artwork continues to inspire and captivate viewers with its unique style and vision.
