Michael Godard is an American artist born in 1964 in Southern California. He is known for his unique and humorous paintings that feature anthropomorphic olive characters, cocktail glasses, and other objects that are often associated with the world of drinking and partying. Godard began his career as an illustrator and later transitioned to fine art.
Godard’s artwork is characterized by his use of vibrant colors, exaggerated perspectives, and a whimsical sense of humor. He often incorporates puns and plays on words into his artwork titles, such as “Olive Party” and “Cos-Mojito.” Godard’s artwork has been featured in galleries and museums around the world, and he has been commissioned to create artwork for many well-known brands, including Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson, and the Hard Rock Cafe.
In addition to his art, Godard is also involved in philanthropic endeavors and has worked with organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career, including being named the official artist for the 2007 Latin Grammy Awards. Godard continues to create art that brings joy and laughter to his audience.
